I am heading up to BlazeAid’s camp at Skipton to help farmers begin the clean-up and rebuild after the recent fires.

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that supports families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires, cyclones, droughts, and floods. I would encourage anyone who is able to come along and help.

BlazeAid assists farmers to rebuild boundary fences so they can get stock back onto their properties and start returning things to some sense of normality. Anything you can do helps these farmers who have lost so much. Even if you’re unable to do a lot of physical work, simply being there—listening, talking, and giving them someone to share their stories and experiences with—can make a huge difference in ways we can’t even begin to imagine.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please reach out. I’m happy to answer anything I can.

If you’re planning to head to one of BlazeAid’s other camps, I’d encourage you to contact me. I can list it as a trip so other members might become aware of a nearby opportunity to support or even join you.

Any questions, please text or call me on 0410 038 587.
